Wow Ginny, that sounds amazing. I paid $4.99 for 5lbs! This afternoon I went outside to clean/fill the water but before I could I heard quacking overhead. They flew by then circled back and landed. I had food with me for them since I was planning on sitting outside. Gee, I'm glad I ran around to get Duck food because she waddled to the stump and enjoyed the bird food. She's been really nervous the last couple of times so it was great to see her so relaxed today. He was waddling all around. They were here for about 20 minutes. She did pose for some pictures that I'll post later but here she is eating some seed. Its slanted because I was leaning around a chair with the camera. LOL she was not about to slide off.
Enjoyed your video Kim, she looks so content and happy. Looking forward to your pics.

I wish I knew how long they'd be coming for. I almost bought a baby pool but stopped myself.

I think I might if I can find a cheap one in Target or somewhere. I keep thinking that they won't be back and they keep returning. He sticks his head in the fountain sometimes and she likes to stand in the bird bath so a little pool might be good!
The stump is her favorite eating spot. That stump is a piece of a tree that came down in the hurricane. The plan was to put a planter on it. Then I put some seed on it and the chipmunks kept going to it. Then the birds liked it so the planter went out the window and it became another eating place.
Today they seemed to really get that I was the waitress and they were safe. I opened the door to bring them food (they seem to come by when all the food is eaten!) and they just stood there watching. As soon as I stepped away from the stump she was on her way over and he was taking a drink. Before today they waddled away then circled back for the food.

Now that you guys made me feel less nuts for wanting to run out and buy a pool I'm going to go to Family Dollar on Sat. I think they will have an inexpensive little pool for my buddies.

I went to 2 dollar stores and Target and the pools were too big and/or $20 and up. I stopped in PetSmart on my way back and doggie pool was $8.99 on sale. I'm sure the duckies won't mind the dog bone on the bottom. Its not all that big but she seems to like to soak her feet so this should be good for her. I'll be filling it after dinner and hope they come by.

They have been here twice and do not give a duck about their pool, lol. They waddle right past it, absolutely no interest.
