I love catbirds, too! I've only seen one at a time, though, so far this year, and I've only heard a singing male once so far this spring. Maybe it's just been too cool and damp?

I usually see them a lot when they first come back. Then they aren't around much for a couple of weeks then they return with the kids. I think they may stick to bugs or something when the babies hatch. (I'm just guessing, I don't really know).

I'm still hearing the male, but not seeing him...or a wife. Maybe they arrived, then set up house right away? That'd be cool!

I love it when I don't have to size the photo's. redbreasted nut . not sure if i have one or two but i sure am enjoying them. I don't usually see them. I thought i had them over in jackson at the start of my counts but then they are gone and I never got a photo of them. I have taken about hundred photo's and most of them were blury. So all you get is one. lol I have to resize one of the others. Black capped chickadee . Dove with chickadee which looks like the dove just had a chickadee. lol Ginny H.

It was fun but we were late to see it come right up. Then the real full was cloudy and showers. So I was glad i went the night before. When I took one with sea gulls flying by I got blury birds. The air planes flew below it and showed up as a light dot. Ginny H.
