We had a blizzard today. Its winding down now. I dug out twice during it to get to keep filling the feeders and clear the snow so they could eat from them. Tomorrow is supposed to be really cold too. I am ready! They'll have a full buffet.
Stay warm everyone.

It is still snowing here in Ma. I had not been here since Nov. last week my dayghter said she saw blue birds finally. When i lived here two years ago, three years ago i had 9 in my count. I arrived Wed. But have only counted three at a time. All the other birds are accounted for. Great colors on the house finches and a dozen goldfinches. Red bellied woodpecker. Downy. She is not putting out suet because of her golden retrivers. But all the feeders were full. Hate to see them have to fight the wind. The morning dove was trying to land on the tray and he was just staying in one spot. Finn had a tea party with my dogs and used some seed on the plate. Lol. Bichons are good that way. Stay safe all. We got 14". It wasn't as bad as predicted because the winds weren't quite as bad. The snow is a pain but I generally don't mind it too much. The wind is what I hate because that is what takes the power down. Overall we haven't had much snow this year at all & its been a really warm winter. I wish we'd get a cold snap. Its going to be 60 on Sunday and that's just too warm for Feb. IMO. I actually really enjoy winter other than the big snow storms. I like a little snow and I like the cold, brisk air.

I hear ya on the warm weather, downylover. We're in the 50s and even that is way too warm for February. It's been raining most of the day today, so our snow is melting away fast. And the paths that were trampled in the snow by the dogs are now water-covered ice. I'd take new snow and below freezing temps any day of the week!

We had 79*F. on Friday, temps. dropped all day Saturday, this morning, Sunday, we had light snow with a low of 28*F. It is suppose to go up in the 50's by Tuesday, then, 2 days later the temp. is suppose to tank again. Kim, I dread summer also, last year it was brutal, rows of days in the mid to high 90's.
