I will be counting birds from here for feeder watch. We will still be taking trips up to visit Finn at the lake and enjoy the birds and try and keep the feeders full. But Our address and all forms are now out of the new house. As always looking forward to settling in and seeing what birds will visit. When we first looked at this house it was march and we saw bluebirds and cedar waxwings. thanks ginny H.

Glad you're settling in! Does this mean you're down to just the one place now? Happy birding!

Glad you're settling in! Does this mean you're down to just the one place now? Happy birding! Not for a year or two . we will have the lake house. Amy will sell her place and live in the lake house till the transfer of her hubby job. It would be great to get it all set up by next spring. My husband it up there now with two buddies kayaking . what we call the fools convention. John is here from Portland Oregon, who is moving to sadona AZ in a few weeks. Hummingbirds anyone. Him and wife are retired. Al and Dave are east coast part of the fool pack. All high school college friends. Amy and Spring were at the house for a week while they had espartos taken out of the attic insulation. So the lake house is getting lots of use. Ginny H.

Sounds like a fun tie for the boys!! How far is the lake house from where you are now? Are you able to take day trips there to visit Amy?

No Day Trip. 5 hours, then I need a few days to recoup from the ride. We take stops at least once. I walk stretch. I no longer can drive so it is all on Al. Nerve problems when breaking to much. I do better on high way then in town with all red lights. We looked into hand set up for break but they seam to be not easy to reach. I have yet met someone who has one and can tell me personally who they like it. Tried breaking with my left leg but not so good at it. Yet my neighbor has always driven with her left foot breaking. Learned that way. lol When I came home last week I still had food but hardly any birds. I had gotten two new feeders for my 60th and put out one. Last night the whole pole went over. Al was out fixing it this morning. Just not seeing as many birds as i was two weeks ago. I even had junco's but not seeing any how. Ginny H.

Congrats. on your new home. Looking forward to pictures. So sorry to hear you are having troubles, hope you will soon have a complete recovery. I will keep you in my prayers.
Ginny, I used to date a guy who had no use of his legs, (he was in a wreck & has since passed on), he had a mechanism that operated both the brake and the gas feed that was mounted on or around the steering wheel. He drove with ease and it appeared easy to operate.
A medical store may have what you need or they may be able to refer you to someone that can help you.
Hope you get to feeling better,
Hugs, l2b

I hope you can find an arrangement to help you drive, Ginny! Sorry to hear that your difficulties put you out of easy reach of the lake house, but it's nice that you can get there once in a while for a few days!
You said your whole pole was knocked over? Do you think you might have bears? That's how we usually can tell they've come out of hibernation--they start knocking our poles over...
