General help is available at the top left on the menu bar. Everyone can post tips they find as we use the board here. Together we should be able to work through and have everything we need.
I have a tip: If you use Chrome install the AdBlock extension. There are no ads if you have that running.

Adding a photo to a post when replying to a thread or creating a thread:
Click the 'Reply' button in a thread to open a full 'Create Post' box. You will see a button at the top right 'Add Attachment'. Click the button and then "Add Files". You may attach up to 3 photos to a post, no more than 1 MB each.
Note that the "Add Attachment" button is not available when using the Quick Reply box to reply to a post.

Posting Images:There are 2 ways to post a photo. The first(and easier)way is by using the "Add Attachment" button. To add an image to a post click the button and select your photo from your computer. The issue with this method is that ProBoards limits the image size to 1MB per photo (this is a free forum and this keeps the space requirements needed for hosting photos lower). If you don't edit your photos or have your camera set to reduce the picture size they are likely over the limit. Pictures can be resized in almost every photo software package. If you do not have one there is an online editor that makes it very simple to resize a photo. Here are the steps to resize: Go to picmonkeyClick the Edit button. Select your photo from your computer. Click the resize button on the left side of the screen. You will see "Change Size to" - enter 1200 in the first box and the second will automatically be filled in (keeps the proportions). Click 'Save' (by the Edit button). Other sizes may be fine. I just tested a bunch of photos of differing sizes using 1200 and they were a decent size and stayed small. (size suggestion from better photographers on the forum would be welcomed!). The other option is to upload your photos to a hosting site such as Flickr or Photobucket (there are many of these type of sites). From there you can link the photo into a post by using the 'Insert Photo' button and pasting the link to the photo (the sites have options for copying the link address). Personally I prefer to resize. Its really quick and less steps than having to upload, copy link addresses then paste them in.

Thank you for the info., downylover; I am determined to learn how to put photos on this board from Photobucket, don't know how to paste yet, but I'll keep working on it.

I am determined to learn how to put photos on this board from Photobucket, don't know how to paste yet, but I'll keep working on it. The easiest way: Click on the picture you want in photobucket. On the right you'll see Share options, similar to this: Click once in the IMG box and you will see it quickly flash "Copied" Come back to your post and press CTRL+V or right mouse click and select Paste.

Yeah, I like that feature in photobucket--that you only need to click on the link info to get it to copy.

I see a star by my avatar this morning. What does it mean?

Marilyn, I think it relates to the number of posts. You are still an 'egg'; I'm a hatchling and have 2 stars.

Luv2bird says she has been banned from this proboards forum. I asked her how she found out and she gave this reply:
Every time I try to log in, a message comes up that says I am banned from Proboard by the owner.
luv2bird
Can someone help get her back on...I told her I'd reply back on the PFW forum to let her know what is going on.

That is pretty weird, she was on here five hours ago. I'm sure Kim will figure it out quickly.

I didn't ban her (or anyone). I posted a message to Proboards support to try to see what is going on.

I see a star by my avatar this morning. What does it mean? They board defaults to giving 1 star per user level. The user levels are for the amount of posts you have made as lue said. Egg: 0-14 posts Hatchling: 15 - 99 Full Grown: 101-249 Senior: 250+ We can change this.

I didn't ban her (or anyone). I posted a message to Proboards support to try to see what is going on. Didn't think you did downylover - you've done such a great job with this board. I wondered if it had to do with entering a wrong password three times... hopefully proboard support will have the answer.
