I didn't ban her (or anyone). I posted a message to Proboards support to try to see what is going on. Didn't think you did downylover - you've done such a great job with this board. I wondered if it had to d o with entering a wrong password three times... hopefully proboard support will have the answer. It may be or it could be (from reading what other people have had in the past) triggered by refreshing many times in a row. I think we will have an answer in the morning.

The support team unbanned luv2. Here is why it happened: Apparently refreshing really fast triggers the system to ban an account. Its done in case its the a DDOS attack (when massive traffic gets sent to down a system). Its not just luv this has happened to. I looked on the support forums last night and its something that has happened to users across Proboards. Once people know not to keep hitting refresh in a very short period of time it doesn't seem to be much of a problem. I had no idea this would happen. I'm going to PM all of you my email address later (don't want to post it here since we allow guests to view). If there's ever a problem with this kind of thing again just email me and I will submit it to support and get it cleared up. Sorry this happened to you luv2.

Thanks for solving the problem Kim (and ProBoard support). Good to know about the refresh rate.

I thought refresh was a good thing, I'll stop doing that; I had an inkling that it was me pulling the trigger. When it comes to computers, I shoot myself in the foot more times than one.
Thanks, Downylover, for helping me.

You can refresh. The problem come in when you refresh very often in a short period of time. I had no idea it would ban either, we're all learning together. I just felt so bad when I saw your post on the other board thinking you were banned Glad its all better now.

Now, the only time I want to refresh is in the bath tub.

I've noticed that if I see the 'new' on the left side (meaning their is a new post) and then if I click on the link of the title of the post (vs. the name under it) on the right side it brings me to the end of that topic and I can read the most recent post.
OR, even better, if you are within a main folder such as Photos to Share and you see "NEW" you can click on that word vs. the specific topic and get to the last post!
