I'm kind of clutzy--probably best if I never try to grow them, then! Especially given that they sneak up on Marilyn! LOL I'd be a goner!! LOL Hazel!! We actually had one here when we moved in, and I had my husband dig it out! ?? Maybe, maybe not!

We woke to 13* yesterday morning and a heavy frost. Here's a picture of Duke enjoying a morning run (ears flying, feet off the ground). Attachment DeletedDuke had to wait at the gate while I walked to the end of the driveway. Attachment DeletedA picture of the landscape from the end of our driveway looking toward the house. Here's a shot of the gate (with Duke behind) toward the car port. The house is below the carport and there is a breezeway between the two, so the house is fairly protected from the north wind. Frost can be so beautiful!!! Love this set of pics, Lue!
Duke is such a cutie. Looks like the cold and frost inspired a case of the zoomies in him! LOL

Thanks for the kind words. It was a pretty morning. Duke is invigorated by the cold and then later in the day he has trouble getting up. He forgets he is not as young as he used to be.

Aw, Duke sounds like a sweetheart! Ember did something similar yesterday--tried to cut through deep snow under some dogwood and ended up well out of his league. His hind quarters are getting so weak (he's 12). For a while, I thought we were going to have to carry him home! It's so hard to see them grow old...

Yep, I understand completely. Duke is 11 and had a hard start in life - thrown out on the road sometime after birth, found at around 6 months with all 4 paws cut and bleeding and mange so that his whole body needed to be scraped - he was nearly hairless. BUT look at the little imp now! He is a sweet boy with a gentle heart. Doesn't really like two-leggeds, accept Cliff and I, his groomer and a couple other special folks; but who can blame him after his start.

Hazel and Lue, love hearing about your dogs--I love cats and dogs and, of course, birds, too!
Such a sad story about Duke's beginnings. So much evil out there. He certainly is enjoying his life now. Running around in the wide open spaces and having his family taking good care of him. Would love to see your dog, too, Hazel.

Does he suffer from Arthritis, we used to have to give our dog K.C. an aspirin (vet prescribed) every day and it helped.
