Nice counts Mary and neat variety. It is interesting when your House Sparrows are higher your Starlings are lower and vice versa! House Sparrows are one of our year round residents and they are fine (in my opinion). They have a nice song and aren't too pushy here in the high desert.

Nice counts Mary. I'm jealous of the fox sparrow; we had a regular in TN but here in AL I've only seen one a few times, and not for the past 2 or 3 years. What is your Home Health job? I used to work in Home Health, and Hospice as well/

All these counts are making me look forward to the spring migration--no sparrows (except juncos) here till then! Nice count, Mary! Lots of variety!

What a wonderful variety Mary. I wish the nuthatches were regular visitors to my site. They are in the woods but don't seem to like the neighbourhood

Your grackle numbers didn't get flagged? Wowzer--even PFW expects them in large numbers, I guess! Great count, though--wonderful mix of birds!

I remember posting 104 grackles one count week a couple of years ago... not flagged. But whenever I reach 55 or mores HOSPS they challenge me... I've counted as many as 130 of them, but not on a count day!

A good variety, good count, Mary, sorry to hear of the bully-bird Grackle/Cowbird count, I'm having a similar problem with cowbirds.
