Mr. and Mrs. Carolina Wren showed up today at the feeders. They are such a welcome sight. I mentioned this before--they go through a little eating ritual. They take some seed, then hop onto the suet feeder and take some suet, then back down again to the seed. It's so funny.

I love my little Carolina wrens! I have 2 that I know stick around. They eat dried meal worms like crazy! And every summer we have at least one brood learning their way around. They're so cute and comical. And the male can really belt out a song!

Would love to see their ritual some day, Barb. All we get here are winter wrens and house wrens, neither of which appear to be attracted to the feeders. They do have big songs, though, don't they?

They stayed last year also. We had so much boards on the deck from construction I figured they were well sheltered. but this year the deck was clear. I was glad they liked the worm feeder and got some good fat from the suet. I would look out the window at them and say, you know your name is carolina. lol Not Ma. Ginny H. PS we close on our Brick house the 5th of May. excited to get my stuff out of storage.

Naturelover the day we looked at the house we saw a lot of blue birds in the trees off the driveway. the day we inspected the house we saw the bluebirds at the bath tray on the patio along wiht cedar wax wings. then a hawk came to perch on the feeder. they also have a field next to the house which has a osprey nest up on the very high light post. I am looking forward to it. Not to feeding birds at two houses again. lol Ginny H.
