i upgraded my AOL and after then realized that I lost my toolbar with the websites of places that I use often. One of them was this forum. I have so many notes of passwords, etc., and websites listed for just that reason. The website of this forum that I had did not work. I figured that was that; the forum would be lost to me. I tried Googling bird forums but it wasn't listed there. Then among my notes I found Hazel's email address and also Lue's. I think they were from way back so I believe I didn't hear back because they were no longer used. I know they definitely would have come to my assistance. Today, I had a brainstorm. I Googled Hazelrunmama and there it was! The Forum's website!
I'm so happy I found it! Thanks Hazel and thanks to you, too, Lue. I'm glad I perservered.
PS Just checked your email addresses, and I had them both wrong. Hazel's was totally different, and I had left the "l" off of Lue's.

And I try to be so secretive! LOL Glad you were able to find the link, though! Made me think--I have things bookmarked, but I don't back up my bookmarks with the rest of my data. Guess I'll have to rethink that strategy and, at the very least, copy the url addresses of my fave sites...

Hazel, I was so stymied that I didn't have the website. I thought I would never find it again. The other stuff on my toolbar was easy to find since they were sites that I could find by just Googling them. So it's a good thing you're "famous" and you can be Googled.

There are links on the old Feeder Watch boards to this board too if anyone ever gets stuck. One other suggestion (not just for this board but for any site where you depend on a bookmark) - email yourself a message with links then save it in saved mail. Since Yahoo, GMail, etc are accessed via the internet as long as you can get your mail you'll be able to find your links.
I'm glad you found your way back via Hazel!!!

downylover, I was thinking about going back into the Cornell Forum to see if this forum was listed, but thought I would try Google first. It's nice they have links to this one. Thanks for the suggestions.
