So today I am thinking this might be a cooper not a sharpie. Better lighting and My eyes are better today. Anyone what to weigh in i would appreciate it. It was a lovely day here today 47 but felt much nicer with the sun shine. I had a bad night but a good day today and was thinking of going to Island beach state park to try and find a snowy owl that has been photographed in the past weeks. We leave for Florida on thursday so we decided not to push it and Al stayed home to watch football after we met up with his cousin in Sea Girt for lunch. Rods old tyme tavern. I took my camera on my lap hoping to see some hawks or birds on the ride but NO. A friend of mine yesterday had a Cooper fly right in front of her car over in Sea Side heights, make a right and post on a pole. she pulled over camera in hand. 600 lens and much stedier hand then I. got a great photo of him. I am still seeing some large birds fly past the tree tops and land. I can not find my binoc. both pairs . have my case but no idea why they are not in there. Company. christmas shuffle take your pick. Hope to find before we leave. I might go out to the main street and walk along the extention of the lagoon and see if I can see them from that view. I'm leaning more toward your first thought--that it was a sharpie. It appears to be 'hooded', not 'capped', the head looks small, and the tail appears to be flat along the trailing edge. But I wouldn't put money on it! Have a great trip!

It is a Sharpie, small rounded forehead, a coopers would have a flat forehead. Enjoy your trip!
