Does anyone else have Doves eat the suet? Here you can see the White-wings eating suet! Earlier today I wanted to get a picture of the Cactus Wrens eating the suet but, the rascals wouldn't cooperate when I was outside! Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

The suet feeders are the only feeders that I haven't seen the doves on.

Here, too, Kim! But we only get mourning doves...maybe they're not as athletic as the white-winged doves? That's pretty cool! They look right at home on the suet cage!

The Mourning Doves come up for seed and water in winter (they do stay in the area year round - just don't see them at the house). The White-wings, however, are piggies year round!

My Mourning Doves never touch the stuff. My Carolina Wren loves the suet. He takes a bit of suet then hops down to the seed tray and takes a bit of seed--then back up to the suet and on and on.

My mourning doves don't eat suet, just everything else. Maybe suet is just a white-winged dove thing.

Y'all are lucky to have only the Mourning Doves. White-winged doves are pigs, and will try anything. Luckily they are big enough and clumsy enough that they don't eat much suet, or very often.

Never seen Mourning Doves going after the suet, but one never knows about that crew.
