I think Duke's luck changed much for the better when he came home with you, Lue!! No wonder he looks so happy--he really appreciates his second chance in life!
BarbK, I'd need a whole thread to post pics of the dogs! LOL We have 8...

Thanks HRM, Cliff was the one that "picked him" from a group of young dogs at the nearby county humane society. I tell Cliff that Duke was lucky that Cliff heard his wee small voice saying "pick me, pick me". Cliff did a lot of work with Duke in the beginning. Duke didn't want to be touched (who can blame him). Cliff is a clinical psychologist so he did a lot of sensory integration with Duke. Now we hug on him all the time!

Does he suffer from Arthritis, we used to have to give our dog K.C. an aspirin (vet prescribed) every day and it helped. Thanks l2b - he may have a beginning but he doesn't show any pain issues when he gets up, just slower. We have a vet med but have decided not to use it yet. Way too many possible side effects.

I think the high desert is "broken"!!! We had more rain last night. 0.58" brings us to 4.39" since January 1. That amount is what we usually have by the end of June!

Hazel, it would be cute if you could get a group photo of the dogs.

The more showers, the more flowers. I suppose that's right l2b! As a "desert dweller" I guess I'm just not use to these clouds and moisture this time of year!! Where are the brilliant blue skies?

Flowering photos are so pretty, Lue. Your cactus looks so much like my aloe plant, only bigger.

Could they be hiding behind those clouds?

oh heavens l2b, I took it as funny - thus the "lol" in the beginning! Just added what my mother would've thought, not me! Sorry you misunderstood.

"When the clouds part, may the sun shine down on your fair land again".
I would not have want to hurt your feelings for all the world, you've made me feel better.

heheheh I think all your sunshine is up here, Lue! It's supposed to be sort of cloudy and damp here this time of year, but it's been warm and sunny! I'm not sure when it's coming back to you...we're getting spoiled so we might keep it a while!
